The sun peeked through the curtains in Jiya’s bedroom, casting a warm glow that mirrored her mixed emotions. She sat cross-legged on her bed, her mind swirling with thoughts of the previous day at the hospital. The brief encounter with Abhiraj had left her heart racing, an unfamiliar flutter settling in her chest. Just as she had begun to dismiss the idea of love, he had entered her life, shaking the very foundation of her beliefs.
“Didi, are you coming for breakfast or are you planning to starve?” her younger sister, Kavya, chirped from the hallway, breaking her reverie.
“I’m coming!” Jiya called back, shaking off her thoughts. She quickly dressed and rushed downstairs, where her family had gathered around the dining table, animatedly discussing the latest neighborhood gossip.
“Jiya, you’re awfully quiet today,” her father, Dhananjay, noted, looking up from his newspaper. “Are you alright?”
“Just thinking,” she replied, forcing a smile. “About work.”
As breakfast progressed, Jiya’s mind drifted back to Abhiraj. The way he had looked at her, the intensity in his gaze—it was both thrilling and terrifying. She couldn’t shake the feeling that he was different from the others she had encountered, yet the fear of vulnerability loomed over her.
Meanwhile, across town, Abhiraj was seated in his opulent office, surrounded by the sleek, modern decor that reflected his status. His mind, however, was far from the quarterly reports on his desk. Instead, it wandered to thoughts of Jiya. He was still processing the flood of emotions that surged within him after seeing her in the hospital.
“Earth to Abhiraj!” Dev’s voice jolted him back. “You’ve been staring at that file for over an hour. What’s going on? You haven’t even responded to my texts!”
“Sorry, just… lost in thought,” Abhiraj admitted, rubbing the back of his neck.
“Lost in thought about Jiya, perhaps?” Dev teased, a knowing smile spreading across his face.
Abhiraj shot him a glare but couldn’t suppress the slight blush rising to his cheeks. “Maybe,” he said rubbing his neck .
"Ohh god the Abhiraj Singh Rajvansh is blushing?" Dev teased again loving his best friend's reaction.
"Btw yesterday night it was worth coming there and giving you her biodata everyone was very happy" Dev said remembering it, "agar aunty ki marzi chalti toh woh kal hi teri shaadi karwa deh".
"Ha, waise mujhe kuch problem nahi hai" abhiraj said with a shy smile remembering yesterday's event.
Flashback
"Apki Badi Bahu" Abhiraj said showing Jiya's photo.
"She's so beautiful beta, bilkul ek pyaare bacche jaisi cute hai", his chhoti maa Kirti said looking at the photo.
"Arrey side naah mujhe bhi meri bhabhi ko dekhna hai", Kabir said eagerly "nahi pehle mein dekhungi", khanak replied glaring at him "first I want to see my jethani ji" Ruhi said eager to see her jethani, her soon to be best friend .
"Shut up pehle ansh dekhega", abhiraj said calmly "thank you bhai love you so much", Devansh said to abhiraj showing his in all teeths.
"Wow my bhabhi is so gorgeous", Devansh said planning how to take revenge from his siblings and wife with his bhabhi's help "bhai pr apko lagta nahi yeh kuch zyada young nahi hai I mean she's just a college student and marriage right no....." Kabir said pointing his doubt.
"Who said she's a college student"Abhiraj asked "then" Ruhi asked.
"She's a doctor,and she's 26 ."
"Chal age bata " his brother asked him
